For Summer 2009, the Makiki Community Library is having free Game Night on the second Wednesday of each month.  Last night was the first one and it was a great time. Games like Trivial Pursuit, Life, and Uno were played along with old-school favs like Battleship and Clue.  There was even a Mah Jongg table!

Young or old, everyone enjoyed trying out the different board games.  

For me, it was being part of a community and getting to know my neighbors. Racing around all day, I just want to get home, close the door and not come out but we miss the opportunity of starting new friendships.

To the Pardo’s, I’ll be brushing up on my Boggle skills and will bring my A-game next month.
